Why everyone should read the book Lean in

Jules and I love to read and we are constantly taking what we have read in books into how we manage brideshare. One book really stuck out to us as THE book to recommend to especially women who are about to start their careers, although honestly everyone should read it.

My favorite part about the book was the metaphor about your career being a jungle gym. Explore it, have fun with it and not this traditional school of thought of this upward ladder.

We wore wedding dresses to Web Summit investor meeting

In an event like Web Summit where you are just two people among 70,000, it's definitely hard to stand out. After failing to talk to investors or find the right niche to network, I pitched to Jules that we should wear wedding dresses on one of the days to attract more attention.

On that same day our first investor who I met on Bumble networking (I'm married!) agreed to a meeting in the investor lounge.

Just imagine... his feeling when he picked us up at the front to let us in. He was now THAT guy who let the two girls wearing wedding dresses into the investor lounge. Let's just say he was a tad overwhelmed.
